It is a former township, situated on the slopes of Signal Hill above the city centre and is a historical centre of Cape Malay culture in Cape Town. Visit the Atlas trading store established in 1946, this family-owned and run store with it's colorful history sells the heritage and culture of Cape Town in it's spices. Visit and take some insta-pictures of the colorful "Huurhuises" of the Malay Quarter. We Snack on local favorites like Samoosas, Chlli-Bites and melktertjies. We also visit the Bo-Kaap Museum.

Did this tour with Richard, our tour guide when we were in Cape Town. It's something you definitely want to try - even the host of Somebody Feed Phil - tried out one of these filled bread rolls with flavours that were a mix of curry and spicy chorizo. Worth it!!!
